Pak Canadian Dad Kills Daughter for not Wearing Hijab

Toronto: A Pakistani Canadian has been formally charged with killing his 16- years old teenage daughter Aqsa Parvez, for not wearing the hijab. He reportedly strangled the girl in their home in Mississauga city. The victim’s classmate had said that Aqsa had problems with her family because she didn’t want to wear the hijab. On her father’s insistence, she would wear the hijab while leaving for school, only to replace it with trendy clothes at school. They recalled how she would at times run to the washroom to change into modern dress.
