Why does the Roman Catholic Church flourishes today?

The reason is that Christianity is based on brainwashing- or what they themselves would call faith. The brainwashing is particularly successful in mentally imprisoning the followers, because they are led to believe that questioning their religion means being damned to hell. Modern religions would never get away with such brainwashing.
It is also based on giving money: Money buys salvation. Money buys prayers. Money buys spiritual future for loved ones. People give the church billions of dollars, beyond the ten percent they earn.
